High-Fired
Stoneware Pottery, Including Dinnerware, Baking and Serving
Pieces, and Decorative Items.
If you can't come
to our brick & mortar gallery, we'll bring our gallery to
you
(virtually speaking of
course).
We do require real
money to purchase our pottery. We accept the following
non-virtual credit cards:

Please
Note! Every piece is handcrafted by either Marty or me.
Our handcrafted functional pottery is created from white
stoneware, high-fired to 2350oF, which makes it
dishwasher, microwave and conventional oven safe. All of our
glazes are food safe. The dimensions are approximate and the
glazes will naturally vary from piece to piece.
Since we do make our pottery to order, please expect
approximately an eight week lead
time before your piece is shipped (unless we happen to
already have that piece in stock or somewhere in production). If
this is a problem, please contact us. We never charge your credit card
until your order is ready to ship (unless you insist, of course).

The salad plate, lying flat is about 8" in
diameter. The vertical plate 10.5" D (for reference) is our
dinner plate They are both in our Starry Night glaze.

|
In case you forget the dimension from above, the Dinner Plates
(10.5" D) in Starry Night, Spirit and Gold 'n Red
(clockwise)..

|
|
It's really difficult to visualize the different sizes,
so I stacked them so you can see the differences. Although I did
stack them vertically, I would strongly advise that you serve food
in them horizontally. The dinner plate (again) is about
10.5" diameter. The middle plate is a salad plate and is
8" in diameter , while the bread plate in front is 5.5"
They are all in our difficult Gold 'n Red (aka: Copper Red,
Reduction Red, Sange de boeuf (that's French), and Oxblood
(that's English). They're all the same glaze with many
names since it was easier to name it then produce it.

our Spirit glaze. (Both style mugs may be used for liquids other

|
|
Civil War Mug, more commonly called Confederate Mugs (7"
H, Holds about 16 Oz.) During the Civil War, the mugs were made
out of metal, but when the troops (mostly the Confederate Army)
ran out of bullets, metal mugs were melted down to provide
bullets. Southern potters graciously made mugs out of clay to
support the troops. If you are from the South, "Save your
Dixie cups, because the South may rise again" Or you can
just purchase our lovely Confederate mugs. Shown in Gold 'n
Red.

|
Soup Mug in Pisgah Night (2.5" H x 6" D, Holds
about 10 Oz.)
 |
|
|
Rice Bowl (8"D x 3" H ). We call it a Rice Bowl
because it has those little wiggles to hold chopsticks (a fine
pair is included). We do give you permission to use the bowl for
other thing such as soup, cereal, veggies, etc., however you
might find eating soup and cereal somewhat difficult using the
chopsticks.

Octagonal Dinner Plate (11" Flat to Flat) Shown in

rounds (or octagonals)out the dinner settings. All three plates
together makes for a dramatic place setting (and we sell more
plates that way).

One of our most popular pieces, this altered bowl is great for
cereal, or soup. It's pretty small and stacks neatly. It was actually shorter, but I kept on increasing the height until my oatmeal wouldn't boil over in the microwave.
(6" Flat to Flat, 3.5"H). Shown in Spirit.

without a spoon hole. They make beautiful serving dishes.

|

|

If you enjoy quiche, these make ideal serving dishes. You can
also use them for a great apple pie (send me some) or serving
vegetables, or whatever. Use your imagination. They're really
good looking when both full and empty, but since they're
meant to be functional, fill 'em.

The image is a little fuzzy but before I could take another picture, someone came in and purchased the bowl (which was not fuzzy) and it will take about six weeks before another one comes out of the kiln. Now all you have to do is guess when I wrote this.(Hint.. answer pasted on bottom of bowl..so order one) |

Oval Covered Casserole in Pisgah Night |
|
| Our Chip 'n Dips come in two sizes. The large is about
14" in diameter and 3"high. If you don't have many
friends or throw very small parties, then our mini chip 'n
dip (8.5"D by 2.5"H) is just for you (pictured in
Copper-Red, below). It also makes a great shrimp dish. Of course,
when you increase your friendship base, you can always graduate
to the large one, or purchase more minis.

By popular demand, we are now offering "Need A Little Pot" Tee Shirts*. Marty wears them every day as part of his "Potter's Uniform" (blue jeans too) No, that's definitely not Marty, but it is our daughter Robin, who creates jewelry in our studio. The shirts are 100% cotton and are presently available in three colors and three sizes.Of course the back has a little advertising (how do you think we sell it so cheap?)*"Need a little pot?" is a trademark of the Potter's Mark,Inc.
